

Two Wattled Starlings were bred, which will become part of next years breeding colony. We were awarded with a trophy for the First UK Breeding(FBL) of this species.
Four Superb Starlings were bred, which have been sold to other breeders.
Two Blue Bellied Rollers were bred, which required hand-rearing as the parents abandoned them at 3 days old. They were fed initially on a mixture of pinkie mice and papaya. Thanks to Andrew Owen at Waddeston Manor for the recipe. At 14 days soaked Ferret Pellets were added to the diet. Mealworms,Waxworms and Crickets were also given ad lib. The chicks are now 6 weeks old and feeding themselves on the adult diet. We were awarded a Meritorious Breeding(FBL) Trophy for breeding this species.

Two Superb Starlings
One Grosbeak Starling. This bird was DNA sexed as a hen and has joined our breeding colony.
Four Purple Glossy Starlings. These have gone to a breeder to join his colony of Purple Glossy Starlings.
One Javan Hill Myna. This bird was DNA sexed as a hen and we have managed to find a young male for her, which hopefully will breed when they mature in a couple of years. We were awardes a Meritorious Breeding (FBL) Trophy for breeding this species.
